History

The Quebec Veterans Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to organizations that aim to help veterans residing in Quebec during their transition to civilian life. In constant evolution, the Foundation transformed itself in 2017 to optimize its direct impact with the largest number of veterans possible.

While preserving its roots at Ste. Anne’s Hospital, our organization is spreading its wings and participating in promising programs that meet the needs of more veterans. Our focus currently includes veterans suffering from an Operational Stress Injury, such as PTSD, homelessness, unemployment, and veterans in long-term care.

Our Mission

The Quebec Veterans Foundation supports essential programs dedicated to veterans overcoming significant challenges in their transition to civilian life. Our primary area of focus is related to operational stress injuries – physical and mental, homelessness, challenges associated with addiction, and suicide.

Also, we fund, among others, therapeutic, social, and commemorative programs for World War II and the Korean War veterans residing in long-term care at Ste. Anne’s Hospital.

Our Vision

We strongly believe that the men and women who have served our country should all feel pride and find a new purpose in contributing to their communities in the context of their civilian lives.

They have represented our Canadian values around the world, providing aid to the vulnerable, offering safety to those in danger, and showing empathy and comfort to stigmatized populations.

Throughout my military career, I have had the opportunity to work with exceptional women and men. Serving alongside them was a privilege. The stakes in the transition to civilian life are high. Some have to deal with service-related injuries, others, such as our veterans in long-term care at Ste. Anne’s Hospital are looking for stimulating activities and a deserved quality of care. I, therefore, invite you to give generously to provide comfort and serenity to these women and men who have courageously and with honour served our country. You can make a difference in their lives.

Thank you!
