Welcome to our consultation on proposals for new homes in Chadwell St Mary.
We want to hear your views, the thoughts of the local community, on our ideas for No.13 Loewen Road within the Chadwell St Mary neighbourhood.
The need for new homes in Chadwell St Mary.
Thurrock Council is consulting on proposals to build high-quality new homes in Loewen Road, Chadwell St. Mary, to help meet local demand. The new homes would be sited on land currently owned by the council.
We believe everyone should have a good quality home. Across the borough, around 1,200 new homes need to be built per year to meet current demand. As a council, we are committed to building high quality new homes, including investing in new council homes.
Chadwell St. Mary is a popular place to live. There is demand for a range of different types of new housing, from flats and starter homes to larger family-sized houses. This scheme at No.13, Loewen Road will provide five 3 bedroom houses, helping to meet a range of housing needs. This will include providing 100% of the total as council housing.
This feedback will help with the design proposals for the No.13 Loewen Road scheme.
